Quite different to the concept of the comic book series and to the Sam Raimi film version (click here) and sequels, THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN is a great reboot, but a little bit scary, probably darker and often gets dramatic. This superhero picture introduced two characters which are Peter Parker's missing parents that were not in the previous movies. The cast was well-chosen including Andrew Garfield who plays the title character and does better than the original actor Tobey Maguire and I'm glad that they finally brought the Lizard to the big screen with Rhys Ifans playing that villainous reptile.

While it has some loyalty to the source material, THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN proved to be a terrific restart to the movie franchise and that the audience or any fan of Spider Man might wanna see it.

Star rating: (4/5) Good Movie

  1. I love the original Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies but The Amazing Spider-Man blew me away. It is my new favorite comic book movies right now. Good review.
