Winners of the 88th Academy Awards

Greetings, movie aficionados. You might have heard or seen the telecast of the Academy Awards when it aired in America and Australia recently. The 88th Academy Awards winners are finally confirmed. There are a few surprises in the ceremony that I would like to add. The most critically acclaimed movie, Mad Max: Fury Roadhas earned six Oscar statuettes, including Best Production Design. Meanwhile, actor Leonardo DiCaprio has won the Best Actor award. And after a two-year absence, animation giant Pixar has done it again by receiving the Best Animated Feature trophy for Inside Out.

I was less than enthusiastic about the results that Star Wars: The Force Awakens didn't achieve five Oscars. I was sure they would win, including; Best Visual Effects and Best Original Score for John Williams. A special appearance from the three original characters couldn't save them from the disappointment of losing.
