Review
I remember when THOR came out on the big screen, and I didn't watch it in theatres as I'm not a Marvel fan. The film has a Shakespearean tone, which sums up the story in a way that its director, Kenneth Branagh, would want (or maybe that was his experience with Shakespeare that helped him. To be or not to be anyone?) I admired the feature's elegant production values, visual effects, costume and set design.

Chris Hemsworth was the perfect actor to play the title character, who is charming but an arrogant god of thunder. Hemsworth is noticeably packed with heaps of muscle and did an excellent job in the role. It is good to see some Australian talent rising to the big screen. Other acting performances in the film include Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, Idris Elba and Tom Hiddleston. The latter did brilliantly as Thor's evil, manipulative brother Loki.

THOR is magnificent for its splendour and is the movie of the gods. It was spectacular if I had to describe the film. I highly recommend it to Marvel fans.

Star rating: (5/5) Best Movie Ever

  1. I am glad to see a possitive review for Thor. It is my second favorite comic book movie after Captain America: The First Avegner and my second favorite movie of the year. I have always been a fan of the Thor comic books.
